Updates & Things...

First and foremost Curt's Mammie is on the mend. She is home resting and taking her medications. All I have to say is that lady has a very strong will and she is a very smooth talker... She charmed that doc right into releasing her from the hospital and the whole time she was smiling and trying to work her magic... Well, I guess it worked. She is home and resting- she got her way!

Secondly, have you voted on the baby names yet? I keep joking with Curt that we are going to let my blog readers choose the name of the baby ( I might not be joking...crazy hormones can make you do crazy things like letting strangers pick your baby names)... In 4 weeks or so we will know what "it" is and I will change so you can vote on either boy or girl names. I do afterall get the final say in this baby name because he pretty much picked Mason's name on his own and I said when we had the next/ last baby that I was picking the name... SO, VOTE! Please, my kids name depends on it... HaHa.

Lastly, I am feeling great. I am finally understanding why I have so many written records and pictures of my pregnancy with Mason- I had bucket loads of time. This time, I can hardly keep up with how pregnant I am. If it were not for that little counter on my side bar I would not know what to do. Having a 2 year old while you are pregnant definitely changes the game. But I would not have it any other way. Last time when I was pregnant with Mason, I was bored. Bored like I scrubbed the base boards of the house several time and I did lots of other random chores that I no longer have too much time for. I can say that having a 2 year old helper has been a BLAST! Mason and his dump truck helped me clean the carpet this morning with my lotion... That was nice, huh? Good thing it was not rubbed in too deep.

Today I am counting my many blessings. I have been realizing lately that you can never have too many of those. My little sister Katie has reminded me that there is always a silver lining. You may have to take some extra time to find it, but it is there... Oh, how I wish I lived in the same town as her. She is such a blessing and now that we are older we are so close. I hate that we spent so many years fighting over petty stuff. But I guess that is what makes me love/ appreciate her that much more...

Curt's Mammie is in the hospital. She has had some dizzy spells and other stuff going on. We said a prayer for her last night when Mason went to bed. Mason said, "Doctor going to fix Mammie?" We assured him that she will be fixed in a jiffy! He was fine with that and off the sleep he went.
So, even though you do not know our sweet Mammie, please keep her in your thoughts and prayers...
Mammie is always bucket loads of fun... Here she is crawling after Mason in our grass on our front lawn... He had not learned to walk yet!
Here we are out to eat... Mason was most likely throwing a tantrum, or she just wanted to entertain him... It worked for me too, I think this picture is hilarious... Mammie has so much spunk and such a funny side.

I decided to join the masses yet again and join twitter... I just set up my account. For those of you who do not have twitter, I have set my tweets up on my side-bar and you can follow me through my blog...

Not sure if I am really going to like it or not, but it is worth a try...
I will let you know what I think!

Mason and I had a swinging good time at the park last week. This is the video that I told you about last week. He loves his little Strider Bike, it is just perfect for him and he is pretty much a king at riding it, and he lets us know that he needs NO assistance... He has had a few crashes, but we call them "battle scars" and he thinks they are pretty cool. You know he likes you if he shows you a skint up knee and tells you its a "baaaatle car!"

Side note: If you are noticing the bike has no pedals, there is a perfectly good explanation for it... This bike was designed to help kids learn how to ride a bike and balance before throwing in the pedals... It works well for Mason and he seems to do really well.. You can see in the video that he is "pretend" jumping over things...

Also, please keep praying for MckMama and her sweet baby son, Stellan. They are in a very dark hour right now and need your paryers, they really do... My heart always breaks when something sad happens in "blogland" but when it is someones blog that I read daily, I feel like I know them (sounds crazy, I know). I must say that I shed several tears this morning reading what has transpired for the past few days in the MckFamily. I cried because they thought this was behind them, I cried because this is a sweet baby boy who deserves to be healed, I cried because I have a sweet boy of my own and I would literally fall to pieces if something happened to him, and I cried because being a Mom, being a parent is literally the scariest thing I have ever done... Please also visit Bring on the Rain to see the post she made. She posted some scriptures that moved me.

Dear Lord,

Please be with this family, please be their comfort in this time of need. Lord, please let your will be done. Please heal little Stellan like you have before. Lord, please use little Stellan (and his very strong family) to show others the light of your word and how you can heal all- fix all.

Amen.

Please, I am Begging You

Please pray to our Father in Heaven for little Stellan. He is very sick again. He was once sick in his mothers womb and was not given the prognosis of being born alive. He is now sick again with the very same thing...

Please pray for this sweet baby and his family. Pray for healing, hope, strength, the ability to cling to God whatever may happen... Pray for whatever hits your heart today...

I Must Say...

Pregnancy flies the second time around....

Only 5 more weeks until we find out what our sweet baby will be...

I have been praying for health and strength, you can pray too!

I promise I have not been praying for a girl... Some of you who know me best might think I am fibbing, but I promise I am not...

Here's to 10 fingers and 10 toes...

How I'm Feeling & Updates

I have been asked a lot lately, "How am I feeling?" Honestly, I could not feel better. This pregnancy has really taken me for a loop. With Mason I was able to lay around, go to the pool and just relax and rest... But this time is so different... Of course I have a 2 year old to chase, and chores seem to pile up faster than ever before... Do not get me wrong, I love my many blessings- I am just trying to take it all in stride.

I have stopped taking my medication and the only time I get sick is when I let hunger creep in... So, I constantly have a small grocery store in my purse. This pregnancy I am craving mostly fruits and veggies. Which is a blessing, because with Mason I craved everything from Outback's Blooming Onions to Krispy Kream's hot off the press donuts... I have a feeling this one is a girl. Just that feeling that Mom's get... I could be wrong, but I am pretty sure I am right. With Mason I wanted it to be a girl, but secretly knew all along I had a sweet baby boy on board.

Signs that "butter bean" might be a girl
- Fast heart rate. It's heart rate is still in the range of 170bpm, at least it was the last time I was at the doc's office 2 weeks ago.
- Sweet cravings... Little girls are made of sugar and spice and everything nice...
- Before I even got pregnant I was swooning over every single little hair bow I saw, sweet little baby girl I saw and anything pink... I am thinking this might have been a sign of what was to come... Either that or God has a sick sense of humor...
- Mason says he is having a sister... He has no clue the difference between a sister or a brother, but he says it all of the time... But he also thinks the baby is growing in his belly...

Ok, now I must say that if this sweet stow- away is a boy, I would be just as proud and in love. I would love for my complete little family of 4 to be full of rowdy boys... Curt would love it too... Plus, being the only girl and the Mom, I am sure I would get plenty of love being surrounded by 3 boys all of the time... (selfish, yes...)

I have a super cute video that I took of Mason yesterday when we went to the park, but I will have to post it later.

Mason has fully transitioned into his big boy room. All I have to do is move the clothes from one closet to the other. That will have to wait for about 2 more weeks so I can have a yard sale... Since his new room was the old play room, his new closet is packed full of stuff we do not want anymore, that need to be sent to Good Will or our drive way for the Yard Sale vultures to pick over. We do have some pretty good stuff, so if you are around (not this weekend, but next) come over and pick through our junk...

I will post some pictures of the "new" big boy room next week...

PS- Please cast your vote on your favorite baby names (top left corner)... You can choose more than one. I set it up that way so you can choose you favorite boy and girl name... I have one of each that is my favorite, but I still gotta get Curt's approval... The day before we found out what Mason was, we knew exactly what the name would be if it was a girl or a boy.. I hope we can do that this time... We shall see..

{when I grow up...}

I want to be just like my daddy...

This just melts my heart...

When Curt brought his swat gear home, Mason was all over it... He could not resist tearing everything out of the bag and trying it on... I cannot believe I actually got him to be still so I could get a picture of the helmet...

Head on over to Angie's Circus and see what everyone else has to share on this lovely Wednesday...

Please go on over to my friend Kacey's blog. She is hosting a really great blog carnival once a month to honor Tuesday Whitt... Kacey decided to start this blog carnival when she needed a way to channel her anger and greif into positive energy... Please check it out... You will want to participate. It is all too often we are hearing about bad things happening to good people... Be the person that makes something good happen to someone who needs it...

If you have been looking for special gift for someone that is light on your purse or wallet... Head on over to my jewelry blog... I participated in SITS Spring Fling today and now I am "thankfully" super busy! Ahh, the life...

What are you thankful for?

Officially, Un-Official

Have you voted??? On the Biggest contest this side of the Mississippi??? The contest where you get to help Curt and Leslee "name that baby!"

It looks like Sadie Claire is the #1 pick so far for a girl...

It looks like Jackson Miles is the #1 pick for a boy...

Vote, we would love to hear what you think... But so far, Curt and I are both liking these names...

Both are family names. Mason's name is after a whole slew of our family members since it is a common name in both families... We think we will stick with family names...

If you have name suggestions, send me an e-mail, leave me a comment... I would love to hear what you are thinking...

Much love,

Curt, Leslee, Mason and "butter bean"

Some {love} for my SITStas...

Head on over to SITS and check out all of the great give-a-ways they are having today for Spring Fling...

Hours of fun- literally.

PhotoStory Friday
Hosted by Cecily and MamaGeek

Honestly, this was not my idea. I saw it on McMamas blog. So, it is a stolen idea. Mason loves to "play beans." He climbs up in his chair armed with his favorite bull dozers and trucks and his little imagination goes wild... Sometimes he eats the noodles... That's okay, right?

Funny Curt Story.

Curt walks through the door one morning after work. I was telling him how much fun mason was having. He walked over to him to check it out and the rest of the convo went like this...

Curt- "What on eart is he playing with?"
Me- "Um, beans."
Curt- "Are these ricen beans?"
Me- confused, "HUH, are you serious? They are pinto beans."
Curt- "Are you sure, because I just took a class on this and they are very deadly!"
Me- looking at Mason licking a bean... " Um, I bought them in the grocery store, do they sell ricen beans in isle 9 at Wal-Mart?"
Curt- still inspecting the bean to see exactly what it is...

I guess it is not too funny, but Curt takes all of these chemical classes for terrorism and such. So he is always in the know about such stuff... Me, not so much. I am pretty oblivious to all that dangerous stuff... Now, I guess I know that ricen beans look like pinto beans... So, if you didn't buy it in isle 9, be skeptical.
Have a great weekend.
Please do not forget to vote on your favorite baby name on the top of the side bar...

Also, the Gals over at SITS are previewing Spring Fling today and I am participating... Head on over and leave me some comment love... Please!

{crafty outlets}

Before I got sick, I got crafty... Please do not enlarge the pics, my sewing is far less than perfect...
But, crafting makes me feel good. I love to make gifts for people...

I love the time that it takes to put something special together for someone I know, someone I love...

Does making special things for special people make you happy? What do you make?

Stinkin Cute

Don't you just want to give him a {BIG} kiss...? I sure do.

Trying to get away with something- I am almost sure of it.

Wearing Daddy's hat... He is in love with it and wore it all day...

Funny Mason Story

I went to an OB appointment today. Before I left I told Mason that I was going to see the doctor and he was going check on Mommy's baby.
When I came home he said, " Mommy's baby laughing?"
Me: " What Buddy?"
Mason: " Mommy go doctor and doctor tickle baby..?"
Me: "Ummm, sure buddy, that's it!"
The kid makes me laugh!

Decisions...

I have decided to keep this blog. However, I still might change over in the future. This blog will be less personal so as to keep judgment low. I hope you all choose to follow along. We live pretty exciting lives... HA! Hardly, but we are expecting a baby in 6 months or so and our son Mason is a hoot. I like to share recipes (when I cook), share pics of my sweet little family and share how I am feeling and what is going on in our world.

The theme of this blog will be changing over time. It will be more geared towards kids and things of the sort. This is my attempt to still keep some kind of an outlet to the world as well as share what I like. Come back regularly and see what I mean...

Thank you all for your love and support and for your comments.... There were some pretty funny ones... Also, some very sweet ones...

Have a great day!

All torn up...

I am pretty sure I am either going to make this blog private or close it down completely and move to another address. I will keep you all posted. Until I make the decision, I will not be posting any longer. Some seriously ridiculous and immature family drama has lead me to this. I hate it.

I am still going to keep blogging though, I do it for me, I do it for my family, it keeps me sane... I am so torn, I do not want to go private, I love that random people read my blog... I am leaning more towards a new start on a new blog... When I do so I will most likely merge Kiki & Lele blog as well so I do not have to keep up with 2 blogs any more...

Now I just need help- I have no idea on how to move my archives so all of my stuff will not be lost. If you have any ideas on how to make this transaction as smooth as possible, I am all ears!

Have a great day!

{sigh.}

I actually have pictures to upload...

I spent the weekend trying to take pictures for the blog...

I plan on working on my blog book and getting it done before the baby is born...

That consists of me taking all of the junk off of here and putting aside Mason and family posts to be published...

Mason will appreciate it one day I am sure of it...

I want him to have his own before the baby comes...

I cannot put pictures on here as my 2 year old seems to think my card reader is a wall whacker...

Time to buy a new card reader...

Time to touch up the paint in the hall way...

I will be around this week, pop on over to see what I am up too....

Maybe I will have time to make it to Office Max for a new card reader...

Blessings
