Christmas Pictures

Mason and his Ball Pitt that Santa brought to him.... What was Santa thinking, that think is HUGE??????
Daddy and Mason checking out the ball pit....
Surprise!!!!
Mommy's present from Santa, the bracelet
Snuggle time while Mommy opens Mason's presents. All he wanted to do was play with them, the opening part was not so interesting...
Kitty showed up on the front porch on Saturday morning. I am still pretty sure Santa brought her to me, but Curt wants to make sure that there is not some little girl out there somewhere crying her eyes out because her kitty is gone!

Girl's Night Revisited....

We had fun last night at girls night. It was pretty low-key. I met up with Michelle and Kasey after Mason got ready for bed and we ate at Jason's Deli. It was yummy. I had the Tomato Basil soup, it is my absolute favorite! Then Shelly came to meet up with us. We had a great time chatting it up about Mommy stuff. Pretty much the topic of conversation was "Vaccinations." I am a little more sketchy about them then I was before. I am going to do some research and I will get back to you on me feelings about them. But pretty much, I got a little paranoid from what all everyone was saying. I do know this, no more shots with Mercury....... As far as I know, this only includes the FLU shot, we will opt for the nose spray next year.

I am pretty much talking about something I know nothing about, so I will post more when I have more information, I will post it!!!

PS- this will be the last post until at least next Wednesday! I normally only post while I am at work and I do not have to be back until next Wednesday!

Merry Christmas to all, from the Phillips'- We love you!

Our Little Ham!

Look at this HAM on the piano..... I love this kidd-o, he is amazing...
This is Brian and I when we were small, doesn't Mason look like us?
It was snowing outside, but we went out and Mason would not keep the cap on so we came back inside- BUMMER. He was pretty mad at me.
Look at that RED hair. I love it!
He has had a hair cut since this picture was taken
This was his Daddy's rocking chair when he was a small boy. Also, that is my make up brush. He likes to hold them and chew on the brush part. I know it is not good for him, but it is clean and he pitches a fit. I would not be able to get my make up done in the morning if it were not for tools like the "secret" make up brush!
More Hamming it up from Mason! He is just too darn CUTE!

Perspective

The paradox of our time in history is that we have taller buildings but shorter tempers; wider freeways, but narrower viewpoints. We spend more, but have less; we buy more, but enjoy less. We have bigger houses and smaller families; more conveniences, but less time. We have more degrees but less sense; more knowledge, but less judgment; more experts, yet more problems; more medicine, but less wellness. We drink too much, smoke too much, spend too recklessly, laugh too little, drive too fast, get too angry, stay up too late, get up too tired, read too little, watch TV too much, and pray too seldom. We have multiplied our possessions, but reduced our values. We talk too much, love too seldom, and hate too often. We've learned how to make a living, but not a life. We've added years to life not life to years. We've been all the way to the moon and back, but have trouble crossing the street to meet a new neighbor. We conquered outer space but not inner space. We've done larger things, but not better things. We've cleaned up the air, but polluted the soul. We've conquered the atom, but not our prejudice. We write more, but learn less. We plan more, but accomplish less. We've learned to rush, but not to wait. We build more computers to hold more information, to produce more copies than ever, but we communicate less and less. These are the times of fast foods and slow digestion; big men and small character; steep profits and shallow relationships. These are the days of two incomes but more divorce; fancier houses but broken homes. These are days of quick trips, disposable diapers, throwaway morality, one night stands, overweight bodies, and pills that do everything from cheer, to quiet, to kill. It is a time when there is much in the showroom window and nothing in the stockroom. A time when technology can bring this letter to you, and a time when you can choose either to share this insight, or to just hit delete. Remember, spend some time with your loved ones, because they are not going to be around forever. Remember to say a kind word to someone who looks up to you in awe, because that little person soon will grow up and leave your side. Remember to give a warm hug to the one next to you, because that is the only treasure you can give with your heart and it doesn't cost a cent. Remember to say "I love you" to your partner and your loved ones, but most of all mean it. A kiss and an embrace will mend hurt when it comes from deep inside of you. Remember to hold hands and cherish the moment for someday that person will not be there again. Give time to love, give time to speak, and give time to share the precious thoughts in your mind.

I cannot take credit for this writing, but it is exactly what I have been thinking lately. Sometimes when we get more of something, we get less of something else very important. One thing I am thankful for is disposable diapers, I definatly could not do with out those.

Updates...

Ok, so I know it is time for a new post, and I promise, I will get one up soon. We have been super busy and so I have truly been neglecting my blog. I really miss the tranquility it gives me to sit and write out how life is at our house. I promise I will get a new one up soon. I think I might even update my page, if I can find the time for that!!! Since the holidays are here I have dedicated all of my "spare time" (if any of us could actually say we have such a thing) to working out, tanning and cleaning the house. We will be having guests soon enough, so I am trying to get a head start on it. I am sure I will still be scrubbing away at the last minute.
So, here's to hoping that all of my blog reader have a Happy Holiday!

Side Note: I am working on some New Years resolutions for 2008. Not that I am actually going to stick to them past February. If you have one that you are going to commit to, even for a day, let me know about it... I am interested to know what other people are doing as well...
