Thanks Mom, I needed this.... I am BLESSED to be STRESSED...

A POEM ABOUT OUR GIRLFRIENDS
Someone will always be prettier.
Someone will always be skinnier.
Someone will always be smarter.
Some of their houses will be bigger.
Some will drive a better car.
Their children will do better in school.
And their husband will fix more things around the house..
So let it go, and love you and your circumstances.
Think about it!
The prettiest woman in the world can have hell in her heart.
And the most highly favored woman on your job may be unable to have children.
And the richest woman you know, she's got the car, the house, the clothes~~~~ might be lonely.
And the word says, 'If I have not Love, I am nothing.' So, again, love you. Love who you are.
Look in the mirror in the morning and smile and say, 'I am too Blessed to be Stressed and too Anointed, to be Disappointed!'
'Winners make things happen~~ Losers let things happen.'
Be 'Blessed' Ladies~~~~~ and pass this on to encourage another woman. 'To the world you might be one person, but to one person you could be the world--

Mom, you are amazing. You made me feel so much better with this e-mail. You always know the right times to call, the right things to say and the right times to give great big hugs. I love you so much and even more now that I am a MOM. I know that this morning when I was whining to you that you have been through everything I am going through right now X 3. I do not know how you did it, but you did a really great job! I hope I can at least be half as great as you!

Love you much,
Leslee

ps- now I understand why you would say, "can I at least go to the bathroom alone?" Nope, not for at least 10 more years...... love you!

  1. I loved both your posts!! It was a good reminder that I have a lot and am pretty blessed right now (and NOT to compare!). I don't work right now, but I can understand crazy mornings!! (think: packing boxes with a 20 month old) Good luck with the rest of your day. :) YOu have such a great attitude...I liked that after detailing the morning you wrote some things that make you happy. I'm going to work on that!!! :P

  2. That is so great! I love your mom too. Isn't it amazing how we see things differently now that we are in their shoes? We have much to be grateful for. :)
