Caterpillars & BIG Milestones

We have been on a BIG potty training adventure lately. I kind of let it all slip some when I was sick, but we are back on track now! Recently I was told by a FAMILY MEMBER that Mason was not "medically" on track for potty training. I think that is CRAP! My child is very smart and my Ped told us not to even push it until he was 3. So, honestly I could care less what others think about my child and his potty experiences. He has been going #1 for a while and #2 only if WE bribe him majorly! But yesterday, I decided, it had to be then that we started! Cold turkey- no more diapers, pull ups or any of that (we still need pull ups at night). But, Mason could not have done better, he only had 2 #1 accidents all day long and I could not have been prouder. We even made a trip to Wal-Mart with out incident- FABULOUS!

So, why does the title say "Caterpillars?" Well, yesterday when I was switching out a load of laundry, Mason came in and said, "Mason need Poopoo!" He was so excited, I thought he was just bluffing, because he does this all of the time when he wants a treat. I sat him on the potty and told him that I would be right back and to work on his poopy! The next thing I know, he is laughing hysterically and clapping for himself! I went in to see what was going on and he said, "Yook, Mommy, Mason make a 'caterpillar!'" I was so excited, "it" was pretty big and to him it was a HUGE deal! He got the ultimate treat because he made a caterpillar on the potty, he got to ride with Daddy in the Corvette! So, now all I have to say is Mason make Mommy a Big Caterpillar, and he does. He is so proud of himself!

Curt and I could not be more proud!

I would say that this is the end of our diapers era, but it is all about to start over again!

  1. Congrats Mason what a big boy!! Love that he calls it a Caterpillar. What a cutie.. Enjoy your diaper free months.

  2. Gotta love those big boy caterpillars! Yay Mason!

Just think, even though your going back to diapers it's easier when there is only one kid in them!

  3. That is too funny! YEAH MASON!

  4. Yay for you... and Mason! I love his little imagination. :)

  5. Hilarious!!! He is so funny.
Love the baby butter bean. That is so neat!

  6. My it is so amazing how much and quickly an intelligent child can learn if a parent takes the time to teach them.

Leave me some comment love...
