I am loving my software. Like I said, nothing is safe. I have had a great time and am finding some new and fun gift ideas for friends and family!

1. Personalized grocery tote. Great gift idea for a teacher, friend, sister, grandmother, mom... Way cooler than those ugly ones that say "Wal-Mart", right?

2. Personalized wash cloth and towel set. A great house warming gift, wedding gift. Wow, you could even do them for children. I think Mason and Miles will have their own sets very soon.

3. Personalized throw. A great gift for anyone, I mean we all like our names... Personalized stuff is so hot, mine is going in the car for the kiddos, or maybe even me if we are on a road trip... We always seem to need a blanket with little ones around.

I said:

"Of course sweetie, I love you!" I squeezed him tight!

He replied with:

"Now that I gave you the best hug, could you help me go to Owls.com on your cool compeeeter?"

Me thinking:

"Well, I guess that is a good trade."



*Mason is "in" with the trends of late, he is obsessed with owls. As it turns out, so do a ton of other people on youtube.... So it really works out for him.

Cabin Fever

During the recent snow/ ice storm we had lots to do.

We still have all kinds of Christmas presents to play with.

Tinker Toys were one of them.

We get them out only with supervision.

We do have a baby now who will put anything in his mouth.

Pretty much this is how it goes:

He tells me what to build and I build it!

I think he is going to make a great boss one day!

Then he gets to play with it and take all of the credit...

Like I said, he will make a great boss one day!

Then, he leaves me with a huge mess...


.... and he heads downstairs to show his Daddy and take more credit for this awesome contraption!

Dear Ronald...

I've been good.

In out Wal-Mart is a McDonald's.

Ronald sits on a bench outside.

Every time we go by he wants to sit in Ronald's lap...

Weird because he would not sit in Santa's lap this year.

I think Ronald is much creepier...

I know the other shoppers must have thought I was nuts taking my child's picture on a plastic Ronald McDonald... If they only knew....

5 Months

This smoochy, cuddly, happy, sweet blue eyed boy is 5 months old today!
*It is really tomorrow, but blogger will not let me schedule it for some reason...

Miles,

You are growing so fast, too fast in fact.
I would slow time if I had the power.
I don't.
But, I do have the power to give you oogles and oogles of daily snuggles and kisses.
I do have the power to hold you as much as I want, and I do... You like it.
I love you so much.
To be honest I was not sure where more love was going to come from before you got here...
It came so naturally, I loved you from the second I laid eyes on you, and it grows everyday.
I have equal love for you and your brother.
Amazing that God affords parents to be able to love all of their babies equally- Amazing!
I love learning all about you everyday, you sure do keep me on my toes!
You are such an easy baby and a good boy.
I cannot wait to see what the coming months bring.

Stuff About Miles
~ He is happier than any baby I have ever met.
~He has his Dad's personality. Happy go lucky all of the time until something makes him mad.
~He is 15 lbs and in the 40% in weight.
~He is 24" long and in the 15% in height.
~ He has the sweetest voice.
~He says Dadadadada, all day long.
~He exchanges from hand to hand already.
~He puts everything in his mouth.
~Recently, he is a cat-napper.
~He is not sleeping through the night, I love my 2am snuggles.
~He is amazed by Mason, except for the very loud car noises.
~He is growing new hair, I think he is a blond- maybe a strawberry blond.
~He is a jumper.
~When he is doing tummy time if he gets mad he can get up on all fours...
~He loves his feet, they are his favorite new toy.
~He can escape from his bumbo chair.

Winter Wonderland

Nap Buddy

I took Mason to school last week, it was super cold, so I left Miles with Curt. When I came home, this is what I found... My heart melted, so I whipped out my camera and snapped away...

Don't be fooled, I did NOT take his picture after he fell down. I took his picture after he decided to throw himself on the ground and pitch a fit... Poor guy did not want to leave... If he would have kept his cool, we might have been able to stay 5 more minutes...

Ch Ch Ch Ch Changes....

I am making some "changes" over at my jewelry blog.

Nothing too drastic.

Name change (that I promised would happen in the fall- I guess having a baby got in the way)

Addition of new stuff. I am branching out from only jewelry- exciting!!!! Still making jewelry, just feel like adding some new stuff to the mix.

So far I only have the banner changed, but I will start adding new stuff soon. After all the changes are made, I am having a give-a-way over at a friends blog...

Meet Granny Hanger

She has 3 kids,

Someone Has To Save The Day!

Iron Man runs as fast as he can all around the house... I am on the look out for a new Iron Man costume... This one is a 4-6 if you know anyone who has the size bigger, i would gladly buy it off of them. If you look closely, this one is getting a bit small...

I just know his girl friends are going to love these pictures when he is 16....

Tuesday, I was putting Mason to bed. He really wanted to watch a movie and not go to bed. I told him that he had to go to bed and he got a bit upset. You know, throwing a 3 year old tantrum... I had already turned out the lights and he started crying. He said, "Mom, Mason has a problem!!!" I said, "what problem?" He said, " I am very sad and you cannot see how sad I am. Please turn on the light so you can see how sad I am..." Silly kid, where does he get this stuff.... I do not know where he gets his dramatic side from, really I don't!!!

A Crafty Birthday

My birthday was so different this year. I felt so blessed and overwhelmed with happiness. Not that I have not been happy on my birthdays before, I have been. This year, I just feel extra happy... Having two boys and a husband to share my life with make each and every birthday that much better!



First off, Curt's Mammie made me this long scarf. I absolutely love it and I have warn it several times already. It was so sweet that she gave it to me, I thought she was making it for herself...

I made this scarf on a knitting loom. I am obsessed with knitting looms right now, they are easy to operate and fun too. This scarf is very warm, I am not crazy about the green, but it adds a pop of color to my black coat.

I also decided to make myself some jewelry. That never happens anymore. I always start making myself something and think, "ohhh, so and so would like this, I will give it to them..." Crazy, I know, but I hardly own any of my jewelry. I either sell it or give it away...

I wanted some chunky bracelets that did not match any one particular thing. You know, so I could wear them with different things. I picked up a bag of random stones and rocks that was just perfect for what I wanted to make... Curt's Mom and Mammie watched the kiddos while I crafted away... It was bliss!

Some of my finished product. I got a bit carried away and made 5 bracelets, so I might put a few of them in my shop... Not sure yet!

I had not fixed my hair.

I had no make up on.

Just threw on a cap & coat.

Went out to take a picture of the ducks on the lake.

I just turned 28 and I have a little wear on me.

Pic Nik makes me look like a new Momma and you would never know if I didn't tell you.

Best Birthday Ever!!!

I had an awesome birthday!!! It was filled with wonderful people, good food and fun!!! I will have pictures to follow sometime this week. For now, I am going to bed early- just a little present to myself!!!

Dear Martha,

Tomorrow is my birthday... Here is what I would like...

After I sleep in, I am going to get a shower while you cook these in my kitchen and then get my hubbs to bring them to me in bed... Please, heavy on the syrup & butter; after all, it is my birthday!

Then after clean up, I will help you set up all the fun crafts we will make. I love to make jewelry! Does this necklace not look fun?

Then I want to make some of these with pictures of my boys in them... I already have most of the supplies!

And of course, if we have time, we can maybe make a necklace and some ear rings.

I need to be finished around 2pm.... I plan of spending the rest of the day getting ready for dinner and a movie with my man.

Mason just went to the fruit bowl and said, " Mason like to eat healthy.... I fink I like a banana... You would like one too, Mom? Sure! Ok, Mason got you one right here. First you open yours and then please mind to open mine too!"

He is so funny. He answers his own questions sometimes and he is trying to learn how to put together correct sentences.

Where does he get them???

Struck

It is amazing to me that when tragedy strikes the people I love, I would drive across the country (if I had to) to be with them.

But when I have a chance to go home for a family dinner or someones birthday, I complain about the distance or the fact that the kids act crazy in the car or that I have to stop 3 times on a 1.5 hour trip to nurse and for potty breaks...

It is quite pitiful of me really. My family is the most important thing to me on this earth, they always have been. That is how I was raised. When I was growing up we had 2 family dinners a month... Yes, 2. Sometimes we made it to both, sometimes we didn't. But I got to see my very close extended family on a very regular basis. My Mom has a gaggle of brothers and sisters. She was raised in a big family and they are always so fun to be around. So I know why it was always important for us to make as many family dinners as we could.

Everyone is grown now, all starting their own families and moving away. Most of us live in the Eastern US, and a few of us travel all over with jobs. So it makes it very hard to get together with people in college and other states. The new normal for us is mostly holidays. Oh, how I wish things could be as simple as they were when I was a kid. They are not, I have my own brood and most of my family members are busy with their own as well.

I hope in this next year that I make for sure to make surprise visits home and remember not to complain about little things. You never know when that visit with someone you love might be the last.

This is my SIL and my sweet niece, Ella Gracin. I got a ton of time with them and it was AWESOME!

Here is the mystery man, my Dad. He is ALWAYS behind the camera. There are very few pictures of him and this one is special to me because he is holding my sweet boy, Miles.

Miles got to attend the service, but Mason got to spend the day with Nana- they had a blast.

I want to say a huge thank you to everyone for your prayers for my family during this very painful time. Saturday was emotionally taxing on everyone. Also a BIG thank you to Curt's Mammie. She has been an awesome support outlet for me since we have moved here. She dropped everything and brought me some stuff to try on to wear to the funeral, she offered to watch the boys all weekend while I spent time with my family. She really is a super woman and she deserves a post of her own- I am sure she will get one soon.
