About 2 weeks late

*** I made a post yesterday and then I deleted it... Lets just say, It was heavily loaded. I had an anonymous comment on my blog (it was very rude). I was very upset at this comment as it was attacking me and the parent that I am... Not a good idea to mess with a Mama bear... You can look at the post about caterpillars and read it for yourself. This is my blog and so I say what I want on it, so invite others to say what they want as well. But, I do not welcome people who live in glass houses that like to throw stones at others. See, my friends, the person that left that comment just so happens to be a part of my family {so to speak}. I tracked the ip address with my stat counter back to this persons town... Just so convenient that we have only one family member that lives in this town... I have lots to say to this "family member" but I am saving my ammo for our next meeting... So, dear "family member" next time either keep your comments to yourself or leave you dang name on the comment because we might as well all be adults here.

That is that.

Now, on to my regularly scheduled post.

I had a Saturday date with my sweet boy about 2 weeks ago and these pictures have just been living on my computer, waiting for me to give them some love... My blog needed some sweetness, so I thought I would share my date out with Mason.

We went to a local historic park. Mason had a blast, I just let him run and run and run... Here he is riding an old tractor.

Diving on the farm... He literally spent 30 minutes going from tractor to tractor playing with all of the gears and using his little imagination... Ahh, the spirit of a child, so sweet, so much fun!

He told me this was a Fire Truck... I am thinking not, but I would never tell him that- he can think it is anything he wants...

We explored by the water bank and looked for fishes... Mostly we only saw crawl daddy's (crawl fish).

We also played a little game of "race the sticks." You know, when you drop the sticks on one side and see who's comes out first... I must say it was pretty fun.

The we headed to a local out door mall and had lunch. It consisted of pretzel bites, cinnamon pretzel bites and an icee... Healthy, I know, but when a 2 year old is picking the lunch, you gotta roll with the punches. Mason enjoyed laying in the faux grass...

Making new friends is always super fun... we love friends...

And who could not love a sky like this...? we could not resist.

There is the gourmet lunch we dined on.
I must say, it was a pretty dreamy day!

My Rock

This is my first ever, Tuesday's Tribute, I must say it was fun... Click on the button at the bottom and see others who have participated!

I am sure I have been wearing you guys out lately with my boring posts... I do not expect you to read them, I hate reading posts without pictures, it is like reading a picture less book. Oh well, I have been slacking but it is okay, I am still on the mend!

This post is for my sweet hubbie. Every now and then I will make a sappy, lovey- dovey post about him- this IS one of them... So, if you do not like sappy, you have my permission to skip on over to the next blog....

So, if you are staying around to read, here goes...

Curt is so strong and I love him so much. He has done such a great job taking care of me while I was sick. He would bring me wet rags while I was hanging over the toilet and get me anything I needed while I was semi-permanently embedded in the cushions of our couch... I know he had to tire of being my page, but I needed him so much and he knew it.

Last night we sat together on the couch and watched a movie (rare occurrence round these parts) and it was so wonderful. We held hands and just enjoyed each other.
I could not have chosen a better life partner to spend forever with... It is so nice to have someone who can make up for all of your weaknesses and be strong in a time of need.

Thanks Babe, I love you.

*PS- I know that the above stated are things a husband should do, but some don't! Plus, I like to be thankful for the small things, it makes me see my life in such a better perspective.

Caterpillars & BIG Milestones

We have been on a BIG potty training adventure lately. I kind of let it all slip some when I was sick, but we are back on track now! Recently I was told by a FAMILY MEMBER that Mason was not "medically" on track for potty training. I think that is CRAP! My child is very smart and my Ped told us not to even push it until he was 3. So, honestly I could care less what others think about my child and his potty experiences. He has been going #1 for a while and #2 only if WE bribe him majorly! But yesterday, I decided, it had to be then that we started! Cold turkey- no more diapers, pull ups or any of that (we still need pull ups at night). But, Mason could not have done better, he only had 2 #1 accidents all day long and I could not have been prouder. We even made a trip to Wal-Mart with out incident- FABULOUS!

So, why does the title say "Caterpillars?" Well, yesterday when I was switching out a load of laundry, Mason came in and said, "Mason need Poopoo!" He was so excited, I thought he was just bluffing, because he does this all of the time when he wants a treat. I sat him on the potty and told him that I would be right back and to work on his poopy! The next thing I know, he is laughing hysterically and clapping for himself! I went in to see what was going on and he said, "Yook, Mommy, Mason make a 'caterpillar!'" I was so excited, "it" was pretty big and to him it was a HUGE deal! He got the ultimate treat because he made a caterpillar on the potty, he got to ride with Daddy in the Corvette! So, now all I have to say is Mason make Mommy a Big Caterpillar, and he does. He is so proud of himself!

Curt and I could not be more proud!

I would say that this is the end of our diapers era, but it is all about to start over again!

I am back...

Hello all,

I am back... Where did I go??? Well, I got seriously sick on Friday night and continued to stay ill and on Sunday Curt took me to the hospital. I was admitted immediately for dehydration and a very bad level of pregnancy sickness {they used a BIG word}. I stayed and tried to get better all the while developing a yucky headache. On Monday the doctor was going to let me go home. Right before the nurse came in and took my IV out, my head ache took a turn for the worse. I had a dis-tonic reaction to a medicine called Raeglan {spelling?} and I thought I was having a seizure, the doc thought I was having a seizure. After consulting with an ER doc, they decided that a HUGE load of Benadryl was the trick to reversing this very uncomfortable state I was in. the loaded me up and I was off to Lala land for about 14 hours... Yes, I slept almost straight through the night. The next morning other than feeling very sore from my reaction I was feeling much better. They released me on Tuesday and I stayed home today to rest and hang out around the house.

Thankfully, Mason had a planned weekend with Gran because it was Valentines Day and so he was well taken care of for the weekend, but Gran had to work on Tuesday so she passed my little bug off to Mammie who has been treating him like a King, I am sure. I am so thankful for family who adore my little man and never feel put out when we need them... We could not have even know I was going to get this sick, but they just stepped in and did not even think about themselves, they just made it work... Thanks!

I am also super thankful for my Mom who was right there to take me home from the hospital because Curt had a work even he could not miss out on. she just took off and headed up to check me out. She brought me home, made me a grilled cheese (the first food I got to keep down in 4 days) and then she made sure I was comfortable and she went home. when I woke up Curt was home from work to take care of me. Thanks Mom!

All in all, it was a rough weekend, but it has all worked out. Just the way things are always for us.. I do not know why I ever worry sometimes... I feel like the love of our family and the fact that we are NEVER alone, God is always with us, keeps us constantly taken care of...

That all for me now, I am going to finish up on Lost and then go to bed. I am exhausted.

Love,
Me

Project Happy Hearts...

Today is a random post for me... I normally NEVER post on the weekends, but today is special. Today is Valentines Day! The day we show others that we love them. What better way to do this than to join my friend Kacey's blog carnival. Kacey is a very true and genuine person. She will tell you up front that she cannot process sadness, she hates to hear sad stories and she does not even listen to the news... So, I was surprised when Kacey decided to read a very sad story about Tuesday Whitt... It must have dealt with her in a very profound way. The story dealt with her in such a way she decided to turn her sadness over Tuesday's recent departure to heaven into niceness. She decided to start a blog carnival so people could show how they made someones heart happy! Kudos Kacey, you have done a wonderful job...

Now, after you read how I "attempted" to make someones heart smile, head on over to Kacey's blog and share how you made someones heart smile today...

Recently I was contacted by my friends over at SITS about a Mommy, Cynthia, who had recently lost her son to cord strangulation. There has been so much sadness over the past month or so in blog-land. So many losses of sweet little innocent lives. The ladies at SITS said that they would pay for the necklace if I would make it... Immediately I knew, that there was no way, I wanted to do this from my heart... I wanted to send it from me.

The necklace says, "CHANCE". She wanted it to say this because she had the "chance" to meet him, to be his Mommy!

Then when Mason and I were at the park, I was thinking about sweet "Aiden" and I wrote his names in stones and Mason helped.

I hope I make Cynthia's heart smile when she gets her necklace. Today was the day her sweet Angel Aiden Bug was to be born. I can not begin to imagine how she is feeling today. I will say a prayer for her and her broken heart, join me and say a prayer too!

Go and join Kacey's blog carnival... It will make you feel better to make someone smile...

Just Imagine...

nameofbutton

Could you imagine waking one day to a healthy baby and the next being told that your days with your child are very limited. I honestly cannot. I can say that I have been blessed with a healthy son. But I pray each and every day that the Lord will continue to let me borrow him...

Little Cora Paige was only 10 months old and in 3 weeks time her parents found out she had stage 4 cancer and then she was gone. gone to heaven. To play with angels and guard over her parents. I cannot imagine the pain they must feel. For as sweet as it seems to have your child play with the angles, I cannot even begin to think of the pain, hurt and loss for losing your baby...

There is an ETSY movement for Cora Paige. There is a playground being built at her church in her Memory. There are some folks on ETSY that are selling things that are benefiting Sweet Cora. I bought a headband, and ALL of the proceeds are going to help with the playground. So, if you have a few bucks, put it to a good use...

Buy something to help with Cora's Playground...

If you do not have a few dollars- post this button on your blog to help spread the word...

BIG NEWS...

Well, I know you are wanting to know what this "BIG NEWS" is....

I do not think I can keep you waiting any longer...

Mason.....

Is going to be a BIG brother.....

YIPPPPPPEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!

I know, exciting huh?

I had my first OB appointment yesterday and I am 9 weeks along... Which puts us for a due date of September 11th-ish... I know, not a fabulous day, but I am not going to let that put a damper on things... I am hoping for 9/9/09, because that would be a cool date for a birthday!!!

Baby Butter bean looks just like a butter bean with little floppy arms and legs... Baby Butter bean also has a fast heart rate of 175 bpm. I am hoping this means {maybe} a girl... Mason's was 141 bpm at this same stage...

I have been super sick and not really able to do much... So, that is why my little blog has suffered in posts and I have hardly made any jewelry lately... I am just so run down. Hopefully I am on the tail end of it and will be getting better soon... With Mason it lasted 4 whole months... I am going to keep a positive outlook this time and hope for a shorter stint than that... Mason gets scared to death when I am in the bathroom, I know he does not understand, there is no telling what his little mind is thinking... He also has become somewhat of a hypochondriac... After I am done being sick he goes and hangs his little head over the toilet and coughs and carries on saying, "Mason choking.... ah ah ah...." Then he even flushes the toilet for himself... Funny little man...

He is going to be such a great BIG brother...

Seriously Adorable......

I am a serious Blog Stalker of "Joy's Hope"... Her blog is amazing... Julie makes me laugh, cry and she helps me learn tons about crafting.... I am an avid follower of her... I am not sure if she knows or not... LOL! She has the most adorable little girls and she makes the most adorable things for them... I have done at lease 4 of her crafts... That is more than I can say for Martha, who's crafts are sometimes hard to follow!

The point of this post is to show you the most adorable Tutu- T-shirt I have ever see.... Head on over HERE and check it out.... You are going to want to read her whole blog...

ps- Kacey, I can just see you making on of these for Miss Ruby Jane very soon.....

Note: I do not have a little girl, but maybe one day.... If I did I would make her one of these for ever single day of the week.... But most likely she would just wear it outside and play in the dirt with her brother.... Just saying...

Do not forget to head over to see Jamie... She is hosting a give-a-way of Kiki & Lele Jewelry... You might get lucky!
